Cheryl Eason

Cheryl was appointed to the board in June 2018 by the provincial government. Cheryl has recently retired from her position of vice-president and chief financial officer at Royal Roads University, a position she held since 2017.

A professional chartered accountant with more than 25 years’ experience in both public and private sectors, Cheryl holds a retirement plans associate designation (RPA), a master of business administration (MBA) and a diploma in management consulting (DMC).

Previously, Cheryl was chief financial officer at California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) from 2012 to 2017. Before joining CalPERS, Cheryl was vice-president, financial and plan board services at BC Pension Corporation from 2009 to 2012.
