Responsible investing

Read about the approach to responsible investing that guides the decisions of the Teachers' Pension Board of Trustees and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI).

The plan’s approach to climate change

Climate change remains a concern for the board, plan members and global investors. The board’s fiduciary duty is to best manage this concern and capitalize on opportunities.

BCI works with other like-minded investors and organizations to further the goal of reducing climate change risks. For example, BCI is part of the investor-organized Climate Action 100+. This initiative encourages the world’s largest corporate greenhouse gas emitters to take meaningful action to curb their emissions.
