GreenShield+ is a digital platform that allows members to carry coverage in their pocket. You can use the app to conveniently retrieve your insurance information and submit claims from anywhere you can access the internet.

How to get started

  1. Register or log in
  2. Start your claim
    • On the website, once you have logged in, select Coverage and then Submit a claim from the navigation bar. If you’re on the mobile app, select Submit a claim on the home page.
    • Select who and what the claim is for (also known as the “claim type”).
  3. Enter claim details
    • Add your provider’s information (name, address, telephone number or registration number).
    • If this is a new provider, select Search providers and enter the provider’s last name or phone number to search for the provider.
    • Under Details, include any prescription details, accident information or coordination of benefits (if applicable).
    • Upload any supporting documents.
  4. Review and submit
    • Review your claim and ensure all the information is correct.
    • Click Review and submit claim on the website or Accept terms and submit claim on the mobile app.
  5. Set up direct deposit
    • For faster reimbursement, sign up for Direct deposit through your account settings.

You don’t need to wait until your deductible is satisfied to submit a claim. Submitting claims as they happen ensures faster reimbursement once your deductible is met.

Reminder: Many providers submit claims for you

Many health service providers, such as pharmacists, dentists, chiropractors, physiotherapists and vision care providers, can submit claims on your behalf. Just present your GreenShield ID card and ask them to submit your claims directly to GreenShield.

You can access your ID card through your GreenShield+ account at any time. For instructions on how to access your ID card, use the External link iconGreenShield+ Help Centre.

All the information they need is on your card. If your provider isn’t set up with GreenShield or needs help submitting claims, they can use External link iconproviderConnect or call 1-844-553-2522 for assistance.
